Everton in the Community can happily report a further 250 reasons for true Blues to get involved in December’s Santa Dash.
Taking place in the city centre on Sunday 7 December, the annual 5K fun run is expected to draw around 10,000 people, and the Club’s official charity is urging all Evertonians to don a Blue Santa suit when signing up and raising funds for the award-winning cause that is Everton in the Community.
Those who opt to run for the Club’s official charity will benefit from an exclusive 16-week training plan, devised by the brains who service the wellbeing of the Blues’ playing stars.
Now in its 10th year, the Santa Dash is Liverpool’s most popular running event with people coming into the city from far and wide and is open to people of all ages and abilities. Beginning at Canada Boulevard in front of the Liver Buildings, scores of Santas will make their way over the Churchill Way Flyover before finishing in front of the Town Hall.
500 Blue suits have already been claimed, but runners with a penchant for the shade can lay their hands on an additional 250 outfits by simply clicking here.
Alternatively, early registration can be obtained by contacting Everton in Community’s Fundraising team on 0151 530 5253 or emailing [email protected].
Participants who sign up by Saturday 8 November will benefit from a reduced-rate entry fee of £21 (£22 for online entry including all charges). After this date the entry fee will increase to £26 (£27 for online entry including all charges).
As a registered charity, Everton in the Community relies upon financial support from donations, sponsorship from working partners, and monies raised through fundraising events like the Santa Dash, to enable the charity to continue is valuable contribution to local neighbourhoods.
The Club-associated organisation delivers football coaching, skills training, personal development and life changing experiences, providing individuals of all ages with opportunities to change their lives for the better.
