Bookie Preview: Wolves vs Everton

A draw at the Britannia Stadium is never a bad result. Everton’s 1-1 draw with Stoke there stretches their unbeaten run to seven Premier League games. The only surprise on Tuesday was Nikica Jelavic not hitting the back of the net.

Now with just two games to go, David Moyes looks all set to guide Everton to finish ahead of Merseyside rivals Liverpool. Only the second time he’ll have achieved that feat during his ten year tenure at Goodison Park.

Despite being away from home Paddy Power sees Everton as the 8/11 favourites to beat Wolves this Saturday. The Molineux club have yet to experience victory under interim boss Terry Connor, managing just three draws in the eleven games since he took charge.

With relegation already certain and players either playing pressure-free or trying to impress possible suitors, Wolves can still prove to be dangerous opponents. However confidence is clearly low after going three months without a win and an in-form Everton should be backed to take all three points.

Although he didn’t score against Stoke, Nikica Jelavic remains Everton’s biggest goal-threat. The Croatian should be looking forward to taking on Wolves’ less than secure back line. The midlanders have conceded 43 goals at home in the league this season, six more than the next worse side, Bolton. Jelavic is 7/2 to score first and 4/5 to score anytime.

Marouaine Fellaini also has two goals in his last three games and may be worth a bet at 10/1 to score first and 16/5 to score anytime.

Wolves have conceded 26 goals in their last eight home games, an average of just over three goals a game. If that average holds true then Everton -1 goal at 15/8 with Paddy Power will be a great bet.

There are no guaranteed wins in the Premier League but if recent form holds true there should only be one outcome here. Everton to take all three points and a big step towards Merseyside dominance.
