David Moyes has revealed that French defender Sylvain Distin will be offered a new deal, with his current contract due to expire at the end of this season.

The 33 year old was signed as a direct replacement for Joleon Lescott late in the summer of 2009. Distin had a nervy start to to his career with Everton but in his second season he has been for the most part excellent, winning over quite a few doubters.

The centre back has been an ever present all season and although in the twilight of his career doesn´t seem to have lost any of his pace.

Nice one Sylvain.
