Everton U18s Reach Final!

Everton´s U18s are through to the Liverpool Senior Cup final, beating Bootle 6-5 in a penalty shootout after the game had ended 1-1 after extra time.

  A 67th minute opener from Jose Baxter and a second ten minutes from time gave Everton a double over Blackburn having beaten them back in January when it provided a 6 goal feast but today at Finch Farm this failed to live up to that standard.

  A Jose Baxter pass into the path of substitute Hallam Hope in the 89th minute who then kept his composure to slot coolly past keeper Jay Lynch and off the post to give Everton the points.

  Manchester City the group D leaders beat an Everton side without concern and controlled the game for long periods, the hosts got in front from Hiwula before Ryan Higgins equalised from a free kick then City restored the lead through King.
