Hoffenheim 1899

Newly promoted side in the Bundesliga currently sit in 2nd place 3 points clear of Bayern Munich. They have also taken some pretty big scalps in Wolfsberg and Hamburg.

Maybe they have some decent players we could poach in January I'm sure their striker Ibsevic has been linked with us.

I hope they go on and win the Bundesliga, In my opinion this is what the premiership lacks. the Top 4 are always the same and it will never change bar some serious investment Hoffenheim come up from the 2nd division and make a case for serious title contenders. Maybe if foreign owners keep buying English clubs the premier league will make wage caps which could lead to a much more open and entertaining Premiership.

Doesn't that Chinedu Ogbuke play for Hoffenheim? Got linked with Chelsea and someone, had a trial at Wigan, then went and signed for them who were obsolete at the time, and yeah, we got linked to their other striker, know nothing else about the team though.

Neither do I really, I haven't seen them much to be honest bar highlights but they're racking up some good points and winning by big margins quite unusual for a team that's newly promoted.

They must have some real gems worth poaching in the squad if they can get results at Wolfsberg and Hamburg though.

Think it would prove very difficult to sign any of their players. Their owner, dietmar Hopp, is one of the richest persons in Germany. He took over at Hoffenheim in 1990 and brought them from a lower amateur league, all the way to the Bundesliga. Hoffenheim is only a village of about 3000 inhabitants, but Dietmar Hopp, vowed to make them champions of Germany. He wants Hoffenheim, to challenge German Giants, Bayern Munich on a yearly basis. Everything is going to plan uptill now.

I wish I got Bundesliga on cable becasue some of the Hoffenheim matches sounded tremendous. They always seem to score 3 a match and usually give up 2.

Hoffenheim gets stick as being Germany's Chelsea but that's a bunch of BS. They've been building their team the right way. They only signed young players and I think they most they paid for a player was 5M Euros. At least I'll hopefully get to see them in the C-League next year.

Don't have anything with Hoffenheim. Don't really care if they win or lose, but you're right, to compare them to Chelsea is BS. They steadily build a very good team and have a good managment and backroom staff to back that up.

although I don't have any special feeling towards them, I think they play some excellent stuff. Probably the team that currently, plays the best football in Germany.

Sound more like Arsenal then Chelsea with the way you described them to be honest.

You're right, that comparison does them probably more justice.
