Sitting in the home end for an away game

Sat at the holte end for villa with a villa fan and kopite, quite close to the goal. Everton took the lead through a Lescott header and they really hated him at that point, Lescott was giving it the big'un right where I was sitting and not going mental was the hardest thing I think I've ever done

And then that bloody Agbonlahor equalised and cost me £350 (Lescott have never scored for us before and I'd done 1-0). It's ok Gabby I forgive you for all your goals against the RS. I was in the away end that night.

I did it for the Spurs game in 1985 - nearly got thrown over the Main Stand when Tricky Trev made it 2-0. Did it at Dirty Leeds back in 1977 (the day after we lost 6-2 at home to Man U) - was with a Leeds mate (we lost 3-1) - borrowed his Leeds scarf to make it safely back to the station - horrible vile fans. Have done it now and again and it's ok if you keep quiet but then again we don't win many aways with me in tow so it's easy enough.

Tau-zands in 80's, I reckon we maybe had 1/5 to a 1/4 of pish hill in 1 of them, we usually had from 1 of the roof supports to virtually the main stand, some of those Derby vids show huge numbers, they always used to go for dead centre in St End in the front part below the path.
Tbh it was far more enjoyable then, part of it being that offending each other didn't provoke a violent reaction from either, all seater stadiums with each fan being allocated their own seat kind of put an end to all of that really, as well as the fact that the capacity's were reduced so less tickets that aren't taken up by season ticket holders.
I have absolutely no problem when someone comes in the family enclosure with a kid that supports that lot but even in there people kick off to the stewards. Pathetic really.
Was at Anfield 86 - remember there were so many blues in the kop that they overflowed on to the pitch on our side of the kop and had to be moved over onto the right side there were so many. Check out Lineker's celebration on old footage he ran off to the kop and it was going mental with blues!

Was at Old Trafford last season with a united mate - had Oviedo sliding over right in front of me to celebrate ! Now that was hard to keep quiet!!

It felt like we had about a quarter of the kop thay day.no way would I go in there any more though

Segregation seems to have made fans inside the stadium far more hostile to each other. I'm only going on what I've seen with old videos but it seems that match going fans from both sides got on a lot better with each other back in the day.

ended up on the gravel myself jumping about, exited at the end along the touchline to far corner..... much goading

Sat part of 2nd half on steps in their paddock

Done it at loads of grounds including Europe.....will be doing it at OT next week. When you can't get on the official away circuit it's what you've got to do......never had too much bother.

Did it for our first FA Cup game at Oldham in 1990, seriously scary, when we went 2-0 up in front of their fans my mate whispered to me "don't you dare move". I didn't.

Went to see Everton at Chelsea with my Chelsea supporting mate a few years back when Zola was playing. we got stuffed. Spent the game looking over at Everton fans wishing I was over with them suffering it instead of where I was with chelsea fans shouting in my ear. One other time at Blackburn but there were a lot of Everton fans in there too, evident when we scored. It was no bother.

old trafford in the clock end. about 200 of us outside, someone suggested going in the clock end. united scored 1st, me and my pal never cheered. the old bill came over and whispered are you an everton fan, if so i'll escort you to the away section.i told another everton fan.going down the steps , looked behind me and about 400 everton fans were streaming out of the stands,

At Old Trafford once, and we went 2-0 up, when Duncan hit that half volley on the turn.

Stood inside at half time trying to look gutted with all the mancs was one of the hardest things I've ever done.

Ended up 2-2 though :(

...I was in he Spurs end (I think its called the Shelf and it was at the side rather than behind the goal) for the famous midweek game in the '85 title run in. Me and a mate just found ourselves in the queue for what some were saying was the decider. Couple of comments stick in my mind - whilst queuing a bunch of Evertonians were marched past by police and a lad near us said "be careful, that lot will nick your pants and you wouldn't know it", and then during the game another said "these are some side".

Never jumped up when we scored, never said a thing just stood and glowed at the Blue Army jumping up and down and the cacophony of noise. Great night never to be forgotten.
