I think this'll all end in Norman Whiteside-esque tears. He's been out so long that I've little confidence that his knees will hold up much longer. I've actually seen him play for Everton, twice. If his body required that much time out in this day and age of medical science, I've not got faith in this comeback. Bryan Oviedo had a broken ankle and has recovered in the time Kone's been out FFS! And Darron Gibson, I think?
Don't get me wrong, if he's playing in Royal blue I'm fully behind him and want him to succeed, I'm just not that confident on this one. I reckon his career will be over shortly, so we'll never know, in my opinion, whether he was a master signing/a complete donkey/bang average (delete as appropriate).
