Love the way it looks as though we can say no to these poacher clubs now. Players like Barkley and Stones are just like raw meat to the sharks. Young, quick, English, aggressive, class. Must be so annoying for Mourinho et al who are used to having their pick of whoever they want. Barkley is literally his dream player, like a young quick Lampard with more skill. Must be killimg him he's ours.

Think Jose will love Ross more in 2-3 years when the mistakes start to go away.

Jose is not a fan of mistakes. He's a bit of a control freak I think.

I saw a good tweet the other day.

"MAN UNITED planning a summer raid. Barkley, Stones, Mirallas, Lukaku, Coleman, McGeady, Martinez, Baines, Barry, one ball boy and the toffee lady"

saw an article today about predicted squads for next season. they previewed every other team in the top 7.

yes, that includes the 3 above us and the 3 below us haha - all these kopites in the media are so bitter about us that they fail to even acknolwedge us - i've got to a stage where i just laugh. they're top and yet they're still so bitter and twisted.

Where did you see this?

EXCLUSIVE: Liverpool preparing shock £38m move for Everton star Ross Barkley
our Merseyside reporter William Kenwright understands that the Anfield club is showing serious interest at what would be an enormous sum for an unproven youngster. However it seems likely their neighbours will resist any such bid at this figure and that it would take a massive bid from the oil wealth of Manchester City or Chelsea to test their resolve.

Everton Clearout!!!!!!! EXCLUSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"PSG, REAL MADRID, BARCELONA, AS MONACO to clean out Everton FC this summer."

Billy Dodds reporting from some posh cubicle in Canary Wharf.

Roberto Martinez and Bill Kenwright are bracing themselves for an astonishing sweep out at the club which will leave just a handful of players at the club (mainly Hibbert, Dystin and Osman). Lukaku is going to AS Monaco for a reputed 45Million pounds and joining him will be Kevin Mirralas for 30Million. Defelou is going to Chelsea for an incredible 26Million on a full transfer from his parent club Bacrelona who have agreed an amazing 30Million deal for John Stones. The news only gets worse for Everton fans with the news that Baines and Coleman have signed for PSG and Real Madrid for 35Million and 20Million respectively.

.... does this cover everything?

Arsenal and Chelsea are chasing young Everton starlet John Stones, as Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho look to strengthen their back-line.
Everton signed Stones from Barnsley, when David Moyes was in charge, in January 2013 for a fee in the region of £3 million. Despite having failed to initially hit the ground running, Stones has been in the side for the last few weeks replacing the injured Phil Jagielka.
The 19-year-old centre-back has not looked out of place, though, and is slowly becoming one of the most promising defenders in the Premier League. Stones was nothing short of brilliant against Arsenal just over a week ago. He followed that up with another clean-sheet, away to Sunderland and such shrewd performances from a man at such a young age shows why Everton may have a fight on their hands to keep the youngster.
The England U21 international is being chased by both Arsenal and Chelsea, , according to reports in the Daily Mail, with the Gunners thought to be the front-runners. Both clubs will have a fight on their hands, however, as Stones is committed to the club as they push for Champions League football.
Should the Merseyside club edge Arsenal out in the race for fourth, then Wenger’s men will most certainly miss out on Stones as the defender will be more keen on Champions League football.
Chelsea have plenty of young centre-backs coming through, including the incoming St Etienne defender Kurt Zouma, who was purchased by the Blues in the January transfer window but then loaned straight back out to them.
Stones will reportedly command a fee in the region of £15 million after his fantastic performances so far this season.

Why do I even read this????

EXCLUSIVE: Liverpool preparing shock £38m move for Everton star Ross Barkley

LIVERPOOL are set to spark a summer bidding war for Ross Barkley with a shock £38m offer.

The 20-year-old Everton star has earned rave reviews this season with a string of stunning displays that have put him in line to play at the World Cup with England.

Starsport understands Liverpool are willing to smash their transfer record to land the midfield ace with boss Brendan Rodgers a huge admirer.

But he will face a battle to sign him, with any possibility of Barkley being up for grabs sure to spark interest from a string of Premier League rivals including the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea.

Everton insist they are not willing to listen to offers for their star midfielder and instead hope to tie Barkley down to a new long-term deal in the summer with a massive pay rise.

Goodison boss Roberto Martinez recently said he would reject any bid.

But such a huge offer may prove too tempting to turn down.

Barkley is a Toffees fan and has been at the club since he was a child so a move to Liverpool could cause problems for him and his family.

And it will take a lot to persuade him to leave Goodison Park for any club if Martinez's side qualify for the Champions League.

Any hopes of landing Barkley will be significantly increased if Arsenal pip the Toffees to the top four.

Liverpool also know Everton will do everything possible to stop their prized asset making the short move across Stanley Park to their arch rivals.

The last player to make the same move was Portugal defender Abel Xavier in 2002.

Rodgers will be looking to strengthen significantly in the summer whether Liverpool win the title or not.

He is keen to ensure their title challenge is not a flash in the pan and will be backed again by club owners Fenway Sports Group with a list of other top targets currently being drawn up.

The American owners are happy to splash the cash on young English talent as they proved when they gave former boss Kenny Dalglish a record £35m to bring Andy Carroll to Anfield in 2011.

Carroll was eventually sold by Rodgers to West Ham at a £20m loss.

But it would be no such gamble with Barkley if - and it is a big if - they can get him to Anfield.

So one day one of the thread in summary, we have had:

Barkley to Liverpool (same article mentions interest from City, Chelsea and Man Utd)
Stones to Arsenal and Chelsea
Lukaku to Arsenal and Athletico Madrid

When we qualify for the CL I wonder what justification the papers will have left to try and sell our players?
