55 goals in ten seasons

Some record that too really

Averages two assists a season.

To be honest, it's the second coming of Alan Ball and I have totally missed it

Played well today too
EFC will never ever have a player long term to grace Goodison of the quality of Alan Ball! Osman had a very good game yesterday, but is sadly coming to the end of his career - he was wasted for many seasons on the wing with DM!

As usual, all his defenders have come out from under their rocks to have a love-in him after a decent game. Where will everyone be when he's gash again next next week.

Fair play for managing 400 games, God knows how he's achieved that when he's managed barely 40 good games in his career.
From another perspective, some may say that as usual all those who dislike Leon will re-emerge during his next poor performance.

Leon appears to be for many fans the Everton version of Marmite: you either love him or hate him. You're clearly in the latter camp.

Personally, I think the middle ground is the more realistic position - both looking back and considering his current position in the squad.

He may not have been the best, but he's offered a fair amount to our squad over the years. Mentioning barely forty games is unfair.

Credit where credit is due: Leon played well yesterday. Slagging him off regardless of this just shows prejudice to him.

He anchored our midfield; moved well; his passing was slick; fought for the ball; got a goal. Although, he did dawdle a bit at times.

However, I am not naive enough to realise he's much slower these days, his stamina has gone and he looses the ball quite a bit.

He shouldn't be starting regularly and sometimes he's dire; but he can still offer stuff to the squad as he did yesterday and during other games.

Too many of our fans are eager to praise or blame based on their loyalties or preference, rather than watching the bloody game.

If they're bad say they're bad - that's fair. If they're good though, say they're good.

So much heartbreak, a proper triple whammy, Hibbert did great for being throw in at left back so he cant carry the Osman hate but whats worse is Ossie played great and got the winner.

3 scoop nickerbocker glory of humble pie served up with a smile.
