Everton’s next Blues On Tour event will see 200 fans get free coach travel to this weekend’s Premier League clash with Southampton.

A group of Evertonians, who applied to join the special roadtrip, will receive a complimentary breakfast at Goodison Park before enjoying giveaways in the form of matchday programmes, Everton magazines, meal deal vouchers and special Everton stockings on the way to St Mary’s Stadium.

The campaign forms part of the Club’s Premier League’s Away Fan’s Initiative, which aims to make following football as an away supporter both easier and more affordable.

Richard Kenyon, Director of Marketing and Communications, said: “It’s well recognised that our away support is one of the best in the top-flight and we want to make sure Evertonians, who give the team their unwavering support, are rewarded.

“It’s a long journey to Southampton just a few days before Christmas so the Blues on Tour event is our way of saying thank you to the travelling Toffees.”

There are two more Blues on Tour events planned for 2015 - ahead of the Crystal Palace fixture on 31 January and the Queens Park Rangers fixture on 21 March.

In addition, up to 10 Everton stewards travel to matches to provide fans with advice and general customer service support whilst on the road. The Away Fan Ambassador, introduced last season, is also in operation for every away fixture.

I'm going on this too! Got my ticket & wristband last week from the club.

If you go to a lot of aways and haven't applied yet, have a go the next time they advertise it. It will be for the Palace game in January.

Once you've been once on the free coach, you're not allowed to apply again, which is fair. So people do stand a decent chance.

apparently corals (evertons official betting partner) are paying for the coach,
id love to see a breakdown of where the 200 grand from the PL away fan iniciative,is actually going.

To be fair, Newcastle away was a reduced ticket price at £20, and Swansea away tickets in April will also be cheaper.

This free coach to Southampton saves me £35, so whether it's Coral paying for it or the club, I'm not complaining.
Hardly the point though, is it?
The Newcastle and Swansea ticket agreement is joint agreement with both clubs, nothing to do with the away fan initative,
the [Poor language removed] are getting 2-4 quid off every away game,Stoke are getting free coaches to every away game, spurs are getting free trains to a couple of games.
I think the 200 grand should be trickling down to the people it's meant to be for.

Not sure that's right - the reduced prices for those games - £20 off Newcastle & £20 off Swansea - is coming from the away initiative fund. The £40 hit that the clubs are taking works out the same as it would £2 off per every away game. It's just been synchronised with both clubs for simplicity.

It would also be nice if Everton could take notice when fans email them asking why they no longer receive emails from the club, so despite not missing a League match in 7 years, you dont get an email offering them this.
