The Irish Evertonians thread got me thinking. Who would make your best Everton teams made up of British players and overseas players.

The Republic are overseas, so Seamus would go in the overseas team, and only consider form whilst playing for us, so probably no Gazza or Ginola.

I can't think of any changes I'd make to either side. Shame about valante but have we had anyone better ?

You could put Distin there. Not seen enough of him there to say he'd be better though.

Haha, great shout. How did I forget Bryan. Although it could be argued that he's got to prove himself over a longer period than the handful of games he played last season.

Maybe Terry Phelan, but neither he nor Nuno really played many games for us.

...can't be having Wilson at RB. He's still the best LB I've seen in Blue but Baines is a close 2nd. We've had some tremendous RBs in my time, Tommy Wright and Gary Stevens probably tops for me. Would have to have Rooney in my team, couldn't pick Dixie as there are probably more from that era that are in with a shout.
Not sure I would have Reid and I definitely don't think Speed is good enough to be in there. All about opinions, though. Too hard.

The thing with Speed is mate (in my lifetime anyway) I can't really think of a half decent left midfielder who is British.
