I'm with you though, no way we can pay for anything like that.
All joking aside, I honestly cannot see us affording any stadium which is of note, unless some form of catalyst occurs in our fortunes.
A stadium outside of the city boundaries would be the cheapest option, but as per the whole Kirby affair I doubt that would be accepted.
A stadium inside the city boundaries is what we would all prefer. Nevertheless, it would clearly contribute to a higher price through land costs.
Then there is the whole question of suitability of the actual stadium. Top notch stadium costs top notch prices, something we'd struggle to afford.
Cheap alternative will not go down well with the fans, and may effect revenue capability through corporate facilities.
I would love a new stadium which fits our need and stature, however in our current situation it is not a likely outcome.
If it does somehow begin to become some form or reality, there is all the problems as above mentioned.
So until I see building commence I am just going to undertake a jovial ignorance about the whole saga.
