Anyone tried them to stop smoking?

Looking at them myself, and cant really get how they work. Like there are rechargable ones, refillable ones, flavoured ones, (?).

How much do they end up costing say for a week of "normal" smoking?

Ta.

Mrs R is interested as well.

Friends of mine do and they say you get what you pay for. As in, 5quid one is much worse than a 70quid one. They justify it saying fags are expensive anyway and guess that makes sense.

I don't smoke so thats all i know.

I do, and it did help me quit smoking. I do still get nicotine in my juice, but each time I got for a refill I lessen the dose. Tastes good, doesn't leave an odor, and doesn't bother anyone around you.

My starter kit was $50 for the cig, charger, juice, and a pack of replacement coil units. You get your money back very quickly. I have friends that quit smoking and still use them but just put juice in there with no nicotine.

The biggest thing about smoking, once you get past the physical craving, is the ritual or hand to mouth habit. When you quit smoking cold turkey, you literally don't know what to do with yourself.

I know mate! Tried it loads. In between jobs so to speak atm, so lobbing a load of cash at ciggies is just nuts I have realised.

the mrs uses these ones http://www.vipelectroniccigarette.co.uk/e-cigarette-tank-kits-c-33.html bought it one day and she hasnt smoked a ciggie since about 3 months now.

i'm thinking of getting one but they are quite big and have to be kept upright which is a massive turn off for me as it cant just go in my pocket as it will snap/break or leak everywhere.

but the mrs swears buy hers she is spending about £4 every 10 days on oil/juice so loads cheaper.

I have a question about these which could swing me one way or another.

How do you know when to stop smoking one? Stupid question I know but I know when to stop smoking when the ciggies run out. With this I am worried I'd keep smoking it and end up taking in like 4 ciggies worth of nicotine.

So you buy a kit, like the "ciggie", a charger, then top up the stuff that goes in it? How much was she smoking btw?

Cheers

Hadnt thought of that. @fozzy

I used one to stop, I think I have not had one for a couple of years now, but I guess its just like anything in life, they're good for some but not for others

Possibly the most naive question ever asked on GOT, but what is it that attracts people to smoking in the first place?

I thought I was big and hard when I was around 12 - 13 smoking, that's what got me started unfortunately I was big just not hard ha ha.

it depends really if you stressed then yeah you will be puffing it all the time just like chain smoking ciggies but usually you get your fix 10 puffs and that will do.
