Brand New Everton Fan!

Hey everyone;
So I'm a 20-year-old Canadian and I've been slowly getting into socc-- I mean, football, for the past few years and now that the World Cup is over, I decided I needed to pick a team to root for. I naturally looked into the major leagues, but already knew that the EPL was where I wanted to focus on.
After researching the different teams and even googled things like "how to pick a favourite soccer team", I realized that Everton has a great team, great fans, lots of potential, and I won't be jumping on any bandwagons.
But here's the thing: I want to really commit to cheering for Everton, so I want to know everything I need to know! This is where you guys come in: do you have any sites you'd recommend I raid, or how about threads on here that are great for new fans? Even personal opinions on the team, certain players, or this upcoming season are great!

Historically a successful club but we've had a trophy drought the past 20 years. Things could be looking up though with the new squad and manager.

Overall we have a cracking fan base who have had their fair share of celebration and suffering

Everton is a club that is good enough that you can expect us to have a chance of winning every game we play but we are still limited enough that you can often feel hard done by if we don't.

Get ready for moments of intense joy and moments of bewildering frustration, usually in the same 90 minutes

You've made a good choice but if you expect us to win things consistently, don't be disappointed if it doesn't happen. Without money these days it's tough, but we're a club doing things the right way.

We've not had any success in the last 20 years but before the 1990's we were one of the most successful clubs in the country (still are, just without any recent success). Our fanbase is up there and aside from the Sky 4, only Leeds can match our away support, and they're a one city club with a bigger population.
