Thread: Loic Remy

I've seen him a few times (ESPN folks... it's not like Ligue 1 is as obscure as the Iranian Premier League or whatever they have over there!)

It's an odd one really, as I think he'd be brought in as a squad player to cover the flanks as well as up front, but he's erm... average. Quick as you like, but pretty braindead with the final ball. To be fair, I've only seen him play against top sides in Ligue 1 like Lyon and PSG, so it's tough to look good in those games I guess, but the impression I got was of a taller version of Radzinski. All pace, little substance.

Might be wrong though. Not that we'll ever find out, as we won't sign him, unless his value has badly plummeted or something.

You have seen him play twice.

    Twice and no more.

Channel 529 on Virgin. Bastia v Marseille is on at 10pm tomorrow if you want to watch it. PSG vs. Valenciennes is tonight at 6pm live.

It's not that rare lad; I regularly watch Ligue 1 when I'm bored. The Bundesliga and La Liga are far better of course. Serie A is like watching paint dry though.

to be fair we need to buy players who can play in these big games if we're going to be ambitious. been guilty of having too many osman's especially when it comes to derbies. Need a bit more fellaini's and mirallas' who are up for a fight and take the game to the opposition at important times. Otherwise, the best we'll achieve is europa league quarter finals and the odd 5th/6th place

If he's not good enough for Marseille he isn't good enough for Everton.

Not sure who he would replace tbh, Jeligol will always be the striker and Mirallas is Belgian.

He plays with Joey Barton and that's all you need to know. Don't want these foreign mercenaries coming to our glorious club and ruining it.

I think you have misquoted me slightly.

I don't think I've ever seen him play, not even for a minute.

He has a cool running style so I'd have him as a backup option to Guillaume Hoarau.
