Read up on it and seems to be a grey area. But think if Hull win the FA cup they go straight to the group stage, 5th and 6th has qualifying rounds. If Hull lose, Arsenal have to finish in the top four for them to get Europa, else it goes to 7th.

So, Hull rolling over for Arsenal could be a possibility!

Nah, the momentum they'd give Arsenal before the cup game vs them wouldn't be worth the theoretical benefit they could get, plus, actually think Bruce is a relatively honest bloke in that regard

Plus they could just do it the right way and win it!!

Not crazy at all mate, spot on IMO. I can't wait to get into fume mode for the mancs but Palace first as the man Utd game will count for sod all without a positive result and 3 points and Pulis and his cap.

agree mate we always turn up for the big games and a 4pm kick off the fans will be up for it especially against moyes and will have the same sort of impact on the players as it did against arsenal IMO, palace on the other hand is one of those games were the fans wont be as up for it and their lot will probably sit back and be strong from set pieces.

Hopefully Bruce won't actually want Hull to be in Europe next season. It's great for the fans, less great for a manager trying to keep his team in the division.

If hull get into Europe then that's one relegation spot taken care of next season, then hopefully the mags get the other.

Not that it will effect me, well, the mags bit will.

plus their only on 36 points and with Fulham to play who are in the bottom 3 and only 6 points behind and no sure win on their schedule, they maybe will see the arsenal game as one they can nick at least a point in

their remaining 5 games
Arsenal (Home)
Fulham (Away)
Villa (Away)
Man Utd (Away)
Everton (Home)

I actually think Newcastle will get relegated next season, crap players, crap manager, crap owner, crap fans, crap club.

Aye mate, I would say normally say this is the type of game where the fans can be a little quiet. BUT with what's at stake, gotta treat Palace as if it's against Madrid and get an atmosphere going so the lads know its time to get down to business and secure the 3 points.

I don't think Hull are looking to lose an FA Cup Final to get a pass into Europe. If they happen to beat Everton before then that will help them, yes, if it helps Arsenal and they obviously know that but they weren't going to not try any less against us - or even not try to win the Cup Final. Their advantage in knowing if we finish behind Arsenal (in 5th) puts them in Europe so they can use that advantage - it's a perfectly fair one (for them) because to take advantage they have to beat us - not lose!! They have earned that right to the advantage, such as it is but they have to win a game to use it - that's what football teams try to do!!

Normally teams rest players before the final - or at the least they are wary of picking up an injury. So it might be an incentive to beat us but so be it.

If Arsenal happen to finish 4th then they go into the final knowing they are already in Europe. End of.

I wouldn't be.

Palace were the worst team to come to the sol this season. Well, apart from us, that is.

You'll batter them, if you play half as good as you did v arsenal.

Hope so mate. It's usually the teams who we are expected to beat who we mess up against, 6 points from the next 2 is a must!

Don't take anything away from Wenger though. He knows he needs to have his whole team on song for the run-in and he certainly has the nous to get it out of them. At the same time our own efforts is what we should be concentrating on, and our whole squad knows as well. I'm just glad to be so worked up about Everton, that's all.
Great feeling isn't it? TBH, Wenger's past it. Think he can't be arsed to scout the opposition or specialise his tactics to each occasion. Stubborn and burnt out - it's a dangerous combination that's working well in our favour.

I'm just going on the assumption we need to 4 out of 5 games to get 4th, and even 3 to make sure we get into Europe at all. Certainly need to win the two home games this week, hopefully arsenal will drop points Tuesday to give us that incentive to get the gap opened up.

Ideally we go into the city game 4 ahead (or 3 if goal difference is still in favour) just in case. Though I'm still more worried about Southampton away than city at home!
