Petition to give Tim Cahill a fully deserved testimonial match

    http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/g...imonial-match/

Tim Cahill, Everton legend, one of the all time greats has left our great club. I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels he deserve a proper send-off. I say give the man, the legend a testimonial match, let him say goodbye to the best fans in the world, and let us say goodbye to him, the best Aussie in the world! We love you, Tim Cahill. Bless you, we will never forget you. Hope to see you come return to our great club in some fashion in the future. Good luck in the MLS.

Hope as many as possible sign this. It will probably never work, but I think it's a nice show of support from ut fans, anyway.

I did it. Don't care how in vain or pointless it is, still worth it.

I like what you're trying to do mate, so I'll sign it but I honestly don't think it'll happen. It takes too long to organise something like that and by that time he'll have signed for them. They'll not let him play in a testimonial for us.
Goodbye cruel circus, I'm off to join the world

I don't expect it either, but it's worth a shot. Would love to get as many signatures as possible. Thank you, guys.

I was thinking more next season to be honest. Wouldn't want two testimonials at the same time.

Aye but let's be honest, by then we'll have all moved on/ceased to exist as a football club FFS KENWRONG*

Like I said, I like the sentiment but the practicalities kinda rule it out.

Would love to see him back in some form of coaching capacity in the future mind.

He didn't play ten years. When you start making exceptions you set a precedent.

Let's swerve the twitter feel good about ourselves campaigns and stick to testimonials being for ten f*cking years.

    Lads eh lads?

Personally i'd like to see a match between us and the Red Bulls next Summer, maybe with Cahill playing with one side for each half.

Won't happen, would be cool though.

You don't actually have to play ten years to have a testimonial. That's usually the case but not always.

And honestly mate, it only sets a good precedent. Give everything to the club, embrace it and embrace the fans, and you will be appreciated, loved and never forgotten.

What other players in Moyes' tenure have given more than Cahill or deserve it more than Cahill?

Would be nice if you spread the word as well, to your blue friends. I don't have any lol. I'll be happy with a hundred signatures, though i put 3000 as the goal when I made the petition.

    Or that like.

I just think we need something. I was moaning about Dunc not getting a testimonial but we at least had that last game were he scored the pen and then post-whistle it was all about us and him; a mutual exchange of adoration.

I agree. It dont necessarily have to be an official testimonial. But we need a match, or a happening where us fans show our appreciation for him. A friendly vs the red bulls would be ideal, then preferrably at Goodison in front of as many Evertonians as possible.

Technically, since Hibbert has played more games than Cahill, he's given more.

And since he overcame cancer and he's a boyhood blue Alan Stubbs deserves it more.
