Why is anybody saying they wouldn't care if we got battered? That would completely kill the spring in our step! We need to keep the momentum going.

The way he's been rotating his centrebacks, it will be Distin's turn to sit out. Ideally, we'd rest Baines, but it will be his 100th consecutive game for us, so maybe start him and then replace him with Neville at half-time. Drenthe is going to have to come back into the side to get some sharpness back. We definitely need to protect Jelavic, so:

    _________Howard
    _Hibbert Heitinga Jagielka Baines
    __Drenthe Gibson Fellaini Pienaar
    _________Osman
    _______________Straq

Subs: Mucha, Distin, Rodwell, Coleman, Gueye, Anichebe, Neville

Coleman for Pienaar, with Drenthe switching sides.
    Neville for Baines.
    Anichebe for Straq.

Ideally we'd give Rodwell a run out before the semi, but we have to focus on the players who we need to rotate and the ones who are closer to match fitness.

Of course I want us to win, but I wont fume if we lose, I will realise that the players have their eyes firmly set on Sats game.

I went to bed last night, had a little think about a few things and I realised that im not fully over losing the 86 Cup Final and I only watched that on the tele. I cried like a little girl for a few days after that game, I smell tears again on Saturday, hopefully they will be tears of joy.

So in short, win Everton or I will cry.

I want us to win mate, but its not the end of the world.

I suppose it depends what sort of team Moyes puts out, either way I cant see us losing, Sunderland are a gash team, I called it, they cant beat us, we are Everton, they are no marks.

i rekon itl be howard, hibbert, jagielka, heitinga, baines, neville, gibson, pienaar , gueye, cahill, straq

maybe ancichebe will start, and osman to come on for half an hour or so. Would love to see royston start and then again in the semi which may well happen as i dunno if he'll give gueye a start in such a big game, and coleman hasnt done anything to deserve starting at wembley

but then again he probs will field an even weaker team, tbh finishing 7th or 8th isnt a massive difference especially when battling sunderland and after what he said about the derby
