    The big O man

Osman. I've come to really appreciate this guy. If only his body could complement his technique/abilities he would be one of the finest in the PL. Where does he fit in our system, since Cahill is always the designated CAM? he is so unpredictable and a decent dribbler with vision. Anyone else grown to like Osman?

I know I have. I though he was starting to fall by the wayside as the squad improved in quality and he looked out of his depth in the cup final, but the past two seasons he has been fantastic. When played as a CAM or as a center mid he is one of our best players and a real spark

The past 3 games or so I think he's been invisible but aside from that, behind the striker he's deceptively good.

Decent squad player. If he's going to play it needs to be ACM. If osman is a starting player next season we will have had an un-productive summer.

Like the guy tho, great servant and on his day can be a right little player.

He can be a cracking little player, but he's too inconsistent and too small and weak to show it for more than about 2 months at a time. Pity really.

He's a cracking player on his day, just doesn't have those days often enough. And he gets played out wide too often where he's not so good.

If he had the qualities we wish, he would have left years ago.

Always had a soft spot for Ossie I was championing him for england a few seasons ago, on his day he's a cracking player but hes inconsistent.

Shame it's took 5 or 6 years of him playing out of position for us to fully appreciate him.

Epitomises Everton though...plays like a world beater for about 3 months then lays dormant for a long time.

    Good sometimes

    Bad other times

    Everton through and through.

I think his bad knee injury set him back quite a bit though he missed quite a lot of football

Two great feet (AMAZING how many top level pros this doesn't apply to), comfortable receiving ball under pressure, good vision for a pass, improved immensely in the air (that leap above Kompany still one of my favourites of the last few seasons).

Too lightweight, not strong enough in his shooting/finishing quite often lets him down, inconsistent (like a lot of our players).

Overall I like him and always have, when played in the middle and on form he walks into my first 11.

I've always really liked him. I reckon he would have developed into an even better player had Cahill and Arteta not been about the club during the same period as him. If he is given a free CAM role he is a really creative player who picks up a few important goals along the way. Sure he is a bit light weight but that can be forgiven because he is blue through and through and you need a few of those in the club. His celebration after being knocked out after scoring against City last year showed just how much he loves the club!

When things were incredibly grim in the first half of the season, Osman was one of the few who showed any spirit on the field. This and the fact he can create and genuinely cause problems to the opposition make him an asset IMO.
