Good point, although if I were Coyle I'd point to the money Arsenal just pocketed for Nasri with one year left on his contract.

True, but they're still holding sixty million. Anyway, let's hope either Cahill goes to the Arse or else we get stupid money for Jags.

Arsenal will never pay stupid money for someone over the age of 12 so I think we should be hoping Cahill goes to Arsenal!

Do you think if we dress Jags in a school uniform we could get more money for him?
“Everton have always been noted for going out on the pitch to play football. We got called the school of science quite rightly. The other lot, the Reds…. well they were a gang of butchers! …. they should have been working in an abattoir. McNab, McKinlay, the Wadsworths. God bless my soul. They’d kick an old woman”

Wenger's spent the last two summers cryin to anyone that will listen about how snide Barca have been going after Cesc and offering Buttons then he's tried to pull the same stunt with us and Bolton.

I hope he ends up walking round the old highbury in his pyjama's smoking a pipe mumbling to himself Ray Parlour was better than Zidane!!!

Are you crazy? has Wenger talked about cahill or Jagielka every day or Arsenal players talked about them everyday saying they are unhappy and wanna leave? Wenger said it was Barcas behaviour which annoyed him, not how much they bid. he also said every club has the right to bid what they want and you can say no. Why are people getting insulted when someone makes a bid in a free market.........its your player and you can say no.

And Bolton chairman made a mug of himself, for a PL chairman a board member of the fa to say feck off and wenger is a bell on his twitter shows how unprofessional he really is. Also Wenger said straight up if he said we bid 6 million then he's a liar and you can believe him or gartside. I hope we pull out of this and they lose him for free next summer

Wenger is no Mug, hes been badly done this season, but Arsenal have been badly written of and proved their critics wrong in the past after Henry left etc.

Wilshire and Ramsey (nearly signed for us) are top players i can see both coming into their own.

After our dealings in this transfer window , looking back , im amazed and relieved Jags is still here .

With our lack of ambition I dont think I could have held it against Jags if he had asked to leave , I reckon he should be applauded for not doing so .

    Well played Jags .

Yeah but wonder how he's feeling after Arteta, following his rallying call for all to hold fast, slipped through the window at the last minute?

I'm glad Jags is still with us.. just hope he is too!

Regardless of the Arteta sale , we were not showing any ambition when Arsenal showed interest in Jags , I still believe the lad deserves credit because all too often these days players demand moves straight away when these so called bigger clubs come in for them , Jags did not , like I said im not too sure I could have held it against him had he .

I do believe players form and mindset can be affected when they are linked with moves , and Jags has had a shaky start to the season , but hopefully with this now gone he can go onto having another great season with us .
