Great that we feel the need to confirm this. Its like FIFA announcing, "We do not accept bribes"

Ahh the "are we a selling a club, or aren't we a selling club" debate. This is usually a good one

And people wanted Moyes to come out and say something....

to be fair mate, whenever we have sold players we instantly reinvest that money and more often than not it has resulted in an improvement of the squad ie. Johnson, Mcfadden, Beattie, Naysmith and most recently Lescott and Pienaar doesn't count because he definitely wouldn't of been sold if he signed the very lucrative contract that we were offering.

Moyes saying what I've been saying for a while and been labelled a pessimist for - a top 10 finish would be a solid achievement this year.

And I'm sure he privately feels that relegation beckons inside 5 years too, which will be 4 years after he leaves probably.

    God I'm depressed.

    Good Points fella

And to be fair if Pienaar had signed that contract he might have played a few games of togger as well, rather than sit at home counting money!!

We're not a selling OR buying club ATM.
    I don't get drunk. I get awesome.

We're not a selling club, we just sell players to pay the bank and maybe bring other players in.

I think Moyes might need to work a bit more on this message.

    Why tho?

We have the same group of players as last Season.

Why should we not think 7th is our postion?

Which means we're not a selling club as the definition is a club that NEEDS to sell to stay afloat. It's pretty clear the strategy is to win with the players we already have. We have the talent to challenge for a European spot in my mind.

I agree. I think Moyesie is deliberately setting the bar low.

Kenwright yesterday: 'we now move onto a player trading model'. Erm, what was the model of the last 5 transfer windows called?

    Exactly.

Fair enough if the teams below us had massively strengthened, but Fulham haven't done much business and Aston Villa have worsened their squad. Sunderland have improved but their squad is still weaker than ours and under Bruce they've always flattered to deceive.

I'm frustrated because I believe we need a few additions and a bit of a formation shake up to improve on 7th. I don't think either of those things will happen, but why all of a sudden will we fall down the table? We've not lost players or anything.

Because Moyes wants to defo overshoot an easy target.

He's still ambitious, by the way. Oh aye. He said so.

Agreed. He's trying to reverse the psychology of last season, where he said he wanted to challenge for the league with this group pf players minus youngsters like Barkley. The Yak could make a surprise comeback too.
