David Moyes at Newport County Darlington Tuesday Night

I was sat a couple of seats behind David Moyes last night at Newport County.Rumour was he was on a scouting mission watching the big Darlington defender Dan Burn, 6ft 3 and only eighteen.Moyes was happy to sign a few autographs, but wouldn,t have his photo taken, didn,t want anyone to know he was there!

A former graduate of the famous Anfield Football Academy, left-footer Michael is a player equally at home in either defence or midfield. Having been a member of the Liverpool team that won successive FA Youth Cups in both 2006 and 2007, he was signed by Sammy Lee for Bolton Wanderers in the summer of 2007 but found himself surplus to requirements just a year later before he had made a first team appearance at the Reebok Stadium. After trials with both Gillingham and Carlisle United, Michael signed an 18-month contract for the latter in January, 2009, making his Football League debut the following month against Walsall. In January, 2010, he spent a couple of months on loan at Stafford Rangers before signing for Runcorn Linnets in the North West Counties League. Michael also has three U16 caps for England

Oh God, another player who can play in two positions.

When will Moyes learn the adage, "...master of none", or in our case, master of only one of the alleged two positions.

    Heitinga being the exception.

    I feel emasculated.

    And slightly aroused.

If we can't afford to buy a kid from the conference we might as well just all go home now, to be fair.

So Dan at the top of the column has become Michael, an ex RS player, half way down.

Are we getting one player who can cover two positions, or two players for the price of one ?

Hats off to Moyes for taking the time to watch Newport County v Darlington. Could you honestly see old wobblyhead or Siralex putting themselves out in such a way?
