It has already gone on the increased wages for Coleman and Anichebe. Don't forget did Pienaar's agent get some of it as well.

I was pointing out that Moyes has already spent the cash in response to the thread title. I also doubt if we can afford loans becuase that would increase our wages bill.

I hope that Moyes is taking the view that there's not much worth having at the moment and that January prices are inflated, hence he's saving his pennies for the summer. What makes our situation more depressing is that Mike Ashley blew a million in a casino over the weekend!

    yobo - 1m wages - 1.5 m pa
    yak - 1m wages - 1.4 m (6months)
    pienaar - 2.5 wages - 1.2 m (6 months)
    gosling -0m wages - 500k+

thats an estimate of 4.5 million in transfer fee's earnt and 4.6 + million in wages saved.
giving anichebe and coleman contracts isnt gonna break the bank.

if yobo and yak move permanant then we get another 5 m+ in the summer.

yet we are told we are skint. ....... were we looking at serious losses this year (10 milion+) and the club are now trying to balance the books ?

It doesn't make a lot of sense to me either. We haven't laid out cash since Fellaini signed in 2008. Are our attendances about the sixth best in the league? Why are we suddenly feeling the pinch more than everyone else?

im sure ive read somewhere we have to pay 22million of our loans/debts starting 2013 ?

if we keep hemorrhaging 5 to 10 million a year on top of that !!!! do the maths ... thats potential 52 million going out the club untill 2013.

    Rodwell/Fellaini would cover that debt....

But how can we be losing so much money? What makes us so different from other clubs in the division?

Thats the question mate. Wish we knew.
Villa are in more debt than most clubs in the prem and they can splash 18million without shifting a player. We cant splash out on a new bottle of shampoo for the after game bath!

Exactly. If we'd done a Leeds or were paying for a new stadium, I could understand it. I wouldn't even mind if we only had a modest transfer budget. Having moved players out and still struggling to cover loan deals is hard to take.

we have got loans to fund the club throughout bk's reign. our debt has gone up every year except 2005 ,when we sold rooney. our level of debt is now almost back to the pre rooney level id guess.

our revenue has risen steadily , but also the interest repayment of the loans guzzels up more and more of our income every year......

2006 -2.5m (we made an 8.4 million loss)
    2007 - 2.9m (we made an 10.9 million loss)
    2008 - 3.9m (we made an 5.5 million loss)
    2009 - 4.1m (we made an 6.8 million loss)

like i said above , there is also 22 million we have to start paying back in 2013.

at the same time as costs going up we are also spending more on wages.
this situation will only get worse until we have a stadium improvement or we flook the prem and champions league.

Ok, so 2009 we bought Bily £9m, Heitinga £6m, Distin £5m and sold Lescott for £24m. In theory we should be £4m up.

In 2008 we bought Fellaini £15m and Gosling £1m, but sold McFadden £4.75m and Johnson £10.5m. £750k down.

In 2007 we bought Yakubu £11.25m, Baines £6m, Jagielka £4m and Jutkiewicz £0.4m. We sold Beattie £4m, Naysmith £1m and Davies £3m. £13.65m down.

In 2006 we bought Da Silva £0.7m, Lescott £5m, Johnson £8.6m and Spencer £0,2m. We sold Kilbane £2m, Bent £2m and Kroldrup £5m. £7.3m down.

The figures are from Toffeeweb and don't include the fees for Pienaar or Howard. So 2005-6 we were in the Champions League, albeit briefly. For the following two summers we burnt £20m trying to recreate the feat. It does make a lot more sense now.

We really are being ran by an incompetent group Of individuals.

No vision, no ambition, no plan b, no financial backing...

I pray for the day when these absolute tools leave our club.
