Computer Assistance , Please .

I'm hopeless at Computers . Hands up .
However , my Uncle has asked me to assist him - he's worse than me !!! - with his computer .
He's basically having problems downloading - or , I understand , sending - attachments .
He can access the e-mails , but not the clip-on thingy .
Is this normal ??? What do I do to stop it ??? Is it to do with the space on the drive ???

I dunno . Assistance appreciated .

Check your email settings in tools / options / security etc.

maybe it isn't selecting the correct program to open the attachment, sometimes right clicking the attachment and using 'open with' will work, e.g. if it's a pic then choose an image editing / viewing prog from the list that comes up. it may be that the attachment is of a file type that hasnt been opened before from his email prog and so a default prog will have to be assigned, after you select what to open it with you sometimes get a box saying "always open this type of file with this prog" or something like that.

failing that, stand in a bowl of water overnight.
