Everton Youth Teams Thread

Russell Griffiths a young goalkeeper is well worth watching , he travelled with the first team to Lille last week.

I saw him in the U18 final at the end of last season when they beat Man. City 1-0 ,it's not unfair to say the lad won the
game for Everton with a string of outstanding saves, really kept us in the game,I'll be keeping a keen watch on this lad.

AFC Liverpool vs Everton U21s in the quarter finals of the Liverpool Senior Cup. Tie to be played by the end of November.

Rest of the draw:

humiliate them blues. show there's a reason why all the best youngsters in the area choose everton

@EFCTRADITIONS: @GregOK Did you know; EFC can make it exactly 20 yrs with a youth teamer in every 1st team matchday squad, 861 consecutive games. Goes back to 1/11/1994 against West Ham at home. Lost 1-0 and Unsworth didnt play so sequence was broken. Was Mike Walker's penultimate game in charge. Means Royal, Smith, Moyes & Martinez have always had atleast 1 youth player in sqaud.

Hang on, I am sure Everton won this fixture 1-0. Gary Abblett scored. I remember it clearly as we where about 13 or 14 games in and still hadn't won a match. Turned into a great season though in the end :)

All seems to have gone very quiet about this competition:

which was supposed to be underway (group stages between mid-October and end of Jan). Only seen one match (West Ham-Athletic Bilbao) played the night after the announcement.

We seem to have a big hole in November in the U21 fixture list but I know there was some fuss about UEFA being against it.

England U17s finished the first round of European Championship qualifiers with a 100 per cent record after a 3-1 victory over France in Paphos. Our 3 lads played the full match.

Soon after it took a brave bit of defending from Tom Davies to deny Bilal Boutobba a sight of goal on 20 minutes.
Edouard embarked on a powerful run down the right and squared for Boutobba 10 yards out, but the Everton youngster leapt into his path to produce a brave block to deny him.

We did mate and it was our first win of the season. Next game was Norwich away and we got stuffed 3-0 and he was sacked and next game big Joe Royle. ...well we all know the rest. That West Ham game we were awful and they absolutely battered us the last 15 minutes but the atmosphere was immense that night. Christ on a bike we were absolutely turd under Mike Walker!!

England U17 won all 3 games in the latest UEFA qualifying group.

Starting XI had Jay Yates (right back), Tom Davies (central mid and captain) and Nathan Holland (speedy winger) from Everton.

All 3 are great prospects. Davies is a Ledson clone.
