Daily Mirror today claim we're lining up a £4m bid for him.
I think he would be a good signing. Opinions?Everton will make a £4m bid for Sheffield United captain Phil Jagielka but face a battle with Wigan to land the midfielder. (Daily Mirror)

If that is true, I'd say grab him.
Was by far their best player all season, so is no surprise that he'd attract attention from other premiership clubs.
It seems we have a suitable alternative to Joey Barton.
He's impressed me when I've seen him. Got get em Moyes.
Go get him Moyes. Can play cb, rb, cm or even in goal by the looks of performances last year. 4 million bargain
Wasn't he one of Walters lost generation, shown the door because he could play a bit. I seem to recall him being a blue. As a squad man yes please.

Added bonus, gives you the option of not having a keeper on the bench, so more outfield subs.

Same as with Johnson.
'Oi, Jags. Want a ride in my chopper, If you sign then I'll give ya a go of it'.
good point chico, If jags is anywhere near as professional as AJ then his salary will not be the biggest thing on his mind, football will. As long as we can get a bid accepted then he will be ours I feel. DM will not waste time on money sappers.
If you are taking the time out to read this then apparently my post was not good enough to pay attention to!!!........................................
Hes defo heading fot the exit door then according to Brian Robson, he says:
"Keeping Phil looks like it is going to be a problem. He's told me that, if possible, he would rather stay in the Premiership, providing it's the best thing for both him and the club. My job now looks like it's going to be trying to ensure we get the best deal possible. That's what I'll be trying my best to do."
Whiping up a bidding war eh? Didnt deny a four million release clause all the same?

Silly Season So Far: Rooney.
Those stats make interesting reading, I think in the long term he will replace Cars. As for Whelan out bidding us, that won't come into it as he has a £4 mil get out clause so there can be no bidding war apart from which the lads wants Europe, he'd only get that at Wigan if JJB opened aq Paris branch![]()
