There would have been anyway. Fellaini is a top top player and with someone like that there will always be transfer speculation.
I said for the time he has been here, just enjoy his time in a blue shirt - it won't be forever.

Not that I want him to go, but it feels the right price.
In all honesty, I'd have to agree. Forget the Lescott fee - that was a one-off. Remember 8 years ago when we slapped a £50M price tag onto Rooney during the Euros?

the 50m for rooney was a fair price or at least 40m, he was a dead cert to make it, euro 2004 confirmed that when he was one of the players of the tournament by far

fellaini is far from the finished article

True but they are more fitting for the defensive midfielder role, Fellani is more useful when given more attacking freedom imo and can't see him being played DM.

    YES lol.
ferguson stuck him in the champions league first game and he bagged a hat trick,
    first season 17 goals.

That doesn't mean he was the finished article, he only really kicked into his prime around 2009, and he's grown as a player massively since he joined United.

Would people be prepared to loose Mofro, if it meant keeping Baines, 26mill and Barckley getting mins week in week out - suplemented by Rodwell, Gibbo, Cahill, Nev etc?

I would rather lose Baines than Fellaini any day of the week. Unfortunately i think the following could happen:

    -Baines goes after the Euros
    -No immediate replacements
-Fellaini fumes and hands in a transfer request
-We sell Fellaini about a week before deadline day
-We don't get a decent replacement
    -Finish 12th

Fellaini wants ins to BUILD on the team, everybody knows this he's even said it himself.

Just hypothetical mate, i believe he has a release in his contract, though i have my suspicions as ive never come across that with an Everton player before. This all seems to me a bit, he plays in the same national team as Hazard - lets make a story up - kind of link to me. The banks i believe want a fair chunk next summer, there is a big loan falling due, similar to last year - hopefully it wont catch us as unaware as it did last season - sort it Bill.

Even in a hypothetical way it could be good or bad depending on what happens with the proceeds. Same with any transfer really. That was my point. I can't take any rumour seriously until the club confirm a departure or I see them in the royal blue shirt with a scarf over their head

I'd be wholly against it i couldnt see us do anything even the seventh place everyones moaning about without hes pivotel to our side - wonderfull player- he really brings so much to the team - i honestly dont think we appreciate him or value him enough.

He can do any job in midfield and excels at DM too. Who do you think breaks up most attacks for us?

Pretty sure I recently seen a set of stats that indicated that Fellaini's record for the season for breaking up play is one of the best.

What is it with loads of Evertonians now saying that Fellaini is an ACM just because he played a few games there at the end of the season, or just because Moyes throws him up there sometimes. It's getting on my t*ts.

He's a defensive midfielder ffs, and that is easily his best position.

All these people with their "Fellaini isn't good enough to play in the hole" crap, thats because he's a DM.
