I think we are an attractive buy now. Yes we owe some money, but with the completion of the stadium we all of a sudden become a better prospect. All it needs is someone who can come in, buy the club, pay off 777’s 200m and MSP’s 150m, then hope we survive in the premier league for one more season.

Been saying this all along. There is a massive refinance to do but the majority of debt is because of a £800 million stadium that’s due to start delivering its value very quickly

Now we’re safe and the PSR deductions done it’s a totally different ball game.

New owners could refinance the debt. It’s ridiculous that we’ve been going out to rights and media funding on super high interest rates. Competent owners will hopefully consolidate the debt with a decent financial institute at a much lower interest rate.

What a horrendous situation we’re in.

Either we get sold to the absolute cowboys at 777, or we’re stuck in limbo, unable to make any decisions (other than selling the crown jewel(s) before June 30th) until after the next season starts

Marvellous.

They’re clearly struggling to find the money to pass the necessary checks and complete the deal. Rumours of other interested parties intensifying, the club now more appealing to investors with PL safety confirmed. It’s starting to look like 777 are running out of road to get this done.

I’ve told Everton I’m going to buy them, they said they will give 777 until end of month and then I have first dibs. I’ve contacted HSBC and asked them to extend my overdraft to 2 billion. I hope it gets approved.
That’s all well and good but are you fit and proper?
