Wasted youth? Whats gone wrong...jack rodwell, jose baxter and victor anichebe....

There was a great article in The Times a few years back, celebrating the year Beckham, Nevilles etc won the Youth Cup. It did a big piece on youth football in England. If I remember right, it said that if you took every youth team player from every league club (72 clubs x 20 players? = 1,440...

Match Thread Everton v Manchester United - Preview, Match Report and MotM Poll

I thought the BBC article on the website said we were incredible. It basically said we blew them away with a lot more than effort

    2018/19 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Not contradicting you but just adding that almost all of these players have been written off as not good enough at a club until something clicked. Many professionals rate DCL so I think at his age he’s worth developing.

Barrett-Baxendale: Champions League isn't a dream. I'm planning for it

So what would you like her to say?

    2018/19 Jordan Pickford

Ha ha - no but he was very good and only really stopped in his prime due to his mental health issues. Dave is right in that he needs to calm down but you never want to take too much of that out. Buffon is hardly the calmest. Pickford can be the best of his British generation but he has a way to go

    2018/19 Jordan Pickford

Not sure Chris Kirkland, Rio Ferdinand, Nigel Martyn, Peter Shilton, David Moyes, Wayne Rooney and many many more leading players in the world over the past 30 years would argue with you that his distribution is rubbish. Decision making sometime yes, but I'm going to go with two of the best...

    2018/19 Jordan Pickford

Well if he can get his own players to vote him player of the season, he becomes England Number One against the odds, widely accepted as the second or third best keeper in the World Cup, very much helps his team get to World Cup Semi Final, has a massive impact in getting the club to 8th...

    2018/19 Yerry Mina

Maybe it was and they decided that because it was a 'small foot injury' and not a 'big foot injury' then they wouldn't turn down a player who was wanted by lots of other teams.

    What else did he miss?

    2018/19 Leighton Baines

Did I watch a completely different game to some people on here? Last week and this, Baines looked fresh and full of ideas. Yep, not 23 years old anymore but he did more than his bit over the last two games. Richarlison always had Baines as an option to his left or just behind. I can't be that...

    2018/19 Tom Davies

I thought he was far better than average. He constantly chased and gave us a pace in the centre. Maybe not all game but definitely in the important parts. It is no surprise that the last 20 minutes saw him on the ball a lot as we started to take control again. I'm not in the stadium so can't...

    Match Thread Everton v Southampton

Thought we played really well bar first 20 mins of second half. Surprised people not really mentioning Davies. I thought this was his best game since his first season. Calm, assured, good touch and kept ferreting for the ball and playing it forward.

    2019/20 Marcel Brands

I think he has got rid of players that didn't fit at the club and couldn't play at Premier League level or speed and brought in quality. Whether that quality can play in the Premier League is a totally different matter. And yes, only time will ever tell but we have definitely brought in quality...

    Usmanov

Do you know him? Because that is a pretty definite answer. Of course it could be your opinion and that's cool but it sounds like a statement of knowledge and fact. So, how do you know the detailed financial planning of Usmanov? Just checking, can you also let us know how Usmanov has structured...
