I reckon it’ll be free-fall to League One over the next season or two, take a few years to stabilise then get back in to the Championship.

Then become firmly established as a decent Championship outfit who flirts with the play-offs most years.

That’s Everton’s future - literally a different league to what we’re used to. The whole perception of the club will change as people become accustomed to Everton being a half decent Champo side.

Maybe at some point in the future they’ll return to the top flight, maybe not.

this this this give your heads a wobble anyone who thinks this won’t happen

Next two home games are absolutely huge. Nothing from them and we are down for certain, have to be picking up four points minimum (stop laughing).

We're on 25 pts, say 36 to stay up that's 11 pts needed, you look at those fixtures and realise that we're down.

Sobering thing is let's say Palace and Brentford and Watford are all won (given by league positions they're the most three winnable left on paper). Only gets to 34 points so would still need another win on top given the GD is only going to get worse imo with some of the remaining away games.

Just no margin for error at all now and I can't see the team in this state having the bottle to grind out 3 wins at Goodison and certainly none away from home.

All momentum from the Newcastle late show has well and truly disintegrated now which was my concern at the time with people thinking the job was nearly done.

If we go down we need to suck it up and stop acting like we are still a massive club who deserve to be at the top of English football - its that arrogance thats seen us chase big names hoping to keep up with the Jones' instead of building a team for the future.

Gordon
Branthwaite
Patterson
Mykolenko
Doucoure
Gray

6 players who'll be in the starting 11 next season - add some young hungry players with fight in them and rebuild for the future like Villa, West Ham, Leicester etc did.

We lose about £40 million in TV deal - flogging Pickford would make most of that up. Get £50 million for Dom, a few million here and there for Allan/Mina and millions of wages off the books from those out of contract and start being sensible with recruitment.

Leg Kenwright and DBB and bring in proper businessmen and let the DOF do his job.

If we go down its not the end, pull your kecks up Everton/Evertonians alike and start looking to the future.
It’s pretty clear that relegation will be a disaster. The club are obviously teetering on a financial tight rope, relegation would push us over the edge…that’s not even including all the issues around the future of the stadium.

No chance in hell that the board and people running this club are in the slightest ready for relegation.

People can harp on all they want that it’ll be a blessing in disguise (and you know what, if the finances weren’t such an issue then a nuclear reset involving gutting the squad/ playing youngsters/ changing the culture of the club then relegation would be a burden id pay) But everything out there points that it’ll be the financial death knell of the club.

seriously your deluded and any one else is who thinks it’s not the end of us
It will hurt the club big time when we go down, might be impossible to come back from unless we get a buyer who actually knows what football is. Moshiri/Kenwright has been an absolute disaster
