....there’s a difference between favourite and best. The best Everton team I’ve seen is 1970 title winning team, but I think my favourite Everton team is the 1985 version.

In the mid-80s I was approaching 30. I was still playing myself but at an age where I could really enjoy travelling to watch them, and they were such a professional and close knit group, you just knew they would win games.
