Sorry if this has already been addressed, but I was just curious what the motivations were for structuring the forum this way. If I remember correctly, in years past, different transfer rumor targets etc. would have their own threads.

I totally get having one thread for pure conjecture, but at least for me it was easier to keep track of discussions about different players with separate threads. Right now you will find a solid 2-3 pages of discussion about a player in which none of the posts even mention the player's name.

I understand that at least part of the reasoning for this was to make moderation easier, and to reduce front page clutter, but for instance right now the bottom threads on the front page haven't had any posts in 2 days.

The issue could just be that I'm not navigating the forum efficiently, in which case I would appreciate any tips on how to keep track of what's going on in these long threads.

Thought I may as well start one, it's been an eventful summer, sacked a manager who won a trophy, beat Rangers twice in one season, beat Celtic away for the first time in 65 years all for saying Celtic, had a big say in Scottish Football. Which they do,now the fans are not going to buy season tickets in protest(and the hope of getting rid of our chairman who bought the club for £1 but takes home 100 grand a year + employed his daughters to be managers of the club hotel. Despite them having no previous experience.) According to the papers we've offered the job to Alan Johnston. Not the kidnapped journo. We've signed a bloke who got released by Carlisle, a bloke who got sent home from the Scotland squad because he sneaked out the hotel room to go drinking in a under 18's bar and and Invernesses back up keeper.

On the few occasions that David Moyes had substantial funds available as a result of selling players he rarely brought in players that have been outstanding successes.
Strangely,Distin as a replacement for Lescott has been one of his best buys, even though he was more or less seen as a stop gap measure.

I assume that Fellaini will leave the club, I think it is likely that it will happen.
As clubs get nearer the start of pre season training I think we will see transfer activity start to increase. I think that deals are being discussed, replacements being lined up and all the while the buying clubs are trying to save money by delaying transfers one more week.

If we do have funds arising from a sale it will be very interesting how this money is spent by our new manager. It will be interesting to see if people believe that his spending will have compensated for the loss of a very good player.

For instance, I would say that the proceeds from the sale of Lescott really di not move us forward as a club.

I thought he would last season, I know injury plagued his season last year but I still thought he would. Will he finally do it in a competitive game this season?

Not sure how many chances he'll get through either the form of Coleman or injuries but I hope he does get some chances. If Bobby plays 3 at the back, could he operate as a right sided centre back with Coleman as wing back? Who knows.

Question is though, will he score?

Just something else to talk about other than the endless transfer talk, where do you prefer the big man? I prefer him next to Gibbo myself, not only do they have a good partnership but teams just run through us with Osman in there, and with Fellaini behind Jela we've got no creative players through the middle, him in the no.10 role works sometimes but rarely and our togger isn't as sexy with him there. Also, no.10 is Ross Barkley's position so it gives him more of a chance. What do you reckon?

Just seen on Twitter (I know I know usually sh*te) that apparantly the Liverpool official website temporarily put up some fixtures for August and they Listed the Derby at Goodison as their 3rd match of the season on 31.08.13.

Id usually say its crap considering its twitter but someone has posted a screenshot of the official website and it does look genuine to be fair. However im also well aware that websites often do tests with fake info so that when the fixtures do get announced they can put it on asap so may well have just been a test screen that someone saw, but the fact the goodison derby is always first does support this.

Anyone know if the clubs get prior notice of the fixtures or do they find out tomorrow at 9am with everyone else?

If it is genuine what do people think? best to play them early whilst suarez is banned (if he stays)?

The kopites are going mental on twitter saying its 9 points in the bag because they have Hull away and then Fulham Home, god knows why they think an away fixture at a promoted side would be a walk in the park but thats kopites for you!
