Is it Moyes or is it money

Hi i read a lot about Moyes and if he can do anymore for Everton ,has he taken them as far as he can ? If you look at the table all the teams above Everton have had an influx of money , If and IF everton had the same influx as chelsea or Mancity 'How would the people rate Moyes then . So with the money available to moyes Do you believe Everton are acheiving good results ?????

interesting first post mate and welcome.

i think, well know moyse can take us to the top with better funding it basicly comes down to squad size and quality we do have a very good first team and bench but as weve all seen this season the squad is to small,a couple of key injuries and we lose ground .

if he was given the spending power of the clubs you named he would execel.

Lets be fair here. At one stage we had around 10 first team players out injured. I don't think that's a few injuries and I don't think any squad in the Premier League would have coped with that. I mean no lesser voice than Jose Mourinho has regularly said the optimum squad size is around 23 players. Take 10 of those out of the equation and you're down the bare bones.

I like Moyes and he is a very good coach look at how Man city is doing they have all the money they want and they lost to Hull and to Everton.
I really like this team and I am really getting to like Fellaini he has just been on Fire. I really hope he is ok because he is a something to watch.

Simply Pathetic.

One bad result since December and you're calling for his sacking?

Come on now lads, everyone has bad days at the office.

He's saved the club and taken it to new heights

If you're reading sites saying Moyes has taken us as far as he can then you're reading the wrong sites.

End of.

Moyes is our saviour, he has improved us year upon year, this season is one to write off - the important things are survival and getting our injured and returning fully fit! Anything else will be a bonus

I would still say that an assistant manager with more tactical sense (i.e. a plan B) would benefit the club and Moyes. I don't want Moyes out but I would love it he would get help on the tactical side where I think he is severly lacking. Round is not doing the trick.

Well Motavation and getting the right players seems to be Moyes' special Ability.

We should of got Peter Reid when we had the chance. (Assistant Manager Job )

I really am sick of this glib and smug phrase. It makes out as if we know better than the manager. Lets face it, some of us have played the game to a reasonable standard, some to sunday league, some never at all, but to think that we know better than such a student of the game as DM is rubbish.
Whi knows where DM could take us with extra cash. Lets face it, if we didn't have the horrendous injury crisis (that seems to be lingering with MF) to our better players, we'd still be in the hunt for 4th place again. As it stands we will not be far off the euro places in spite of the crisis. DM has shown that he can buy players of high value (Yak, Mo Fro) and find gems in the bargain basement (Peanut, arteta) and still find a young pup to bring on and develop (coleman) and oversee a youth policy bringing through our own young lads (rodders, vaughan). I fail to see where DM is struggling. Comments like 'he's taken us as far as he can' should be left in the alehouse and uttered by knowfeckalls and titface Lawro.
I feel better now.

I've actually had trials to play for Cardiff/Bristol as a younger lad.

So there.
