We owe these. We owe them big, yessir. Their spawny ways seemed to leave them for a bit, and they fell apart like a cheap choc-ice. Surely our tails should be up at the moment, and we should be able to smell blood. Just once I want to throw caution to the wind for one of these teams, we always set up negatively against the so-called big four and it never gets us a win. The best way to beat Liverpool at this present time is to go for them. They messed themselves like toddlers when Reading went at them and there is enough quality in our side to make them do the same again. If we knock the hoof on the head and close them down quickly we can do them.
I want to see "24 Carra gold" sobbing his little rat face out as pienaar makes him look like a chump. I want to see each individual capillary in Benitez's eyeballs at the moment he finally realises that the team he has assembled is actually worth a quarter of what he paid for it. And we can make all this happen if we play this right. |

I can see them overpowering us to be honest, Benitez will make sure his teams as big and as physical as possible. It wouldn't surprise me if Moyes uses Rodwell and Fellaini in the middle of the park or if Hibbert's fit, Neville and Fellaini.

Need a big game from Fellaini to stop Steeevie from playing.
I think 1-1 or maybe a 1-0 defeat. |

![]() I say this speaking from the head and not from the heart. If we can beat Man City 2-0 we can beat anyone. Liverpool despite the slightly good run they are on at the moment aren't still firing on all cylinders, same could be said for us, true. But the pressure really will be on them, Rafa did a really stupid thing of promising top 4 and spurs aren't going to let go of that 4th spot easily. If we play anything like we did against city I really do think we will win. I believe Donovan, Peanuts and Baines will get a lot of joy up the wings as I think Liverpool's fullbacks really aren't to the job. In the midfield, if Felli plays like he has done we should win that battle, hoping ossie or arteta to be in the middle of the park. Defence is the only thing that concerns me, I hope if we play Johnny H and Sendoros that they spend a lot of time working at training. Because we would have lost today's game if Scotland had his shooting boots on, with the amount of times he broke our CB pairing. Thats my only concern and hopefuly Davey will have that sorted out. So yeah, I predict a 1-0 to Everton- Cahill, Felli, Donovan, Peanuts. Name who you won't I really couldn't care. COYB! |

We will need to play as we did against City, but that lot are eminently beatable, and seem to be waiting for someone to come along and put them out of their misery.
I hope its us that kills them off. In fact, I hope its us and its Donovan who scores the winner, as the chants of USA USA that would follow will be absolutely priceless. |

Not only will we lose, but we'll have another nailed on penalty not called.
Guaranteed. |

The one about form going out the window in derbies is a myth imo. They generally go to form. You do get the odd surprise, but I don't think it's any more frequent than any other fixture really.
To conclude, there may be a surprise but there's not much to choose between the teams at the moment so a draw or a narrow win. We've possibly been playing slightly better but that's countered by their spawniness Last edited by James Martin; 31-01-2010 at 11:09 AM.. |

Liverpool is playing decent and getting results again, plus we are on form. It will be a tough scrappy match. We actually played semi-decent in the 1st loss, lets hope we could get some revenge. Perhaps the Wigan match showed that luck is on side a bit.
I'm seeing a 0-0 or a 1-0 either way. |

They usually step up more than we do, we tend to scuff chances. Every shot needs to count and there has to be no room for mistakes.
I think watching the villa game when they beat them at analfield 3-1 needs to be on replay at finch farm. They comprehensively battered their full strength side. Need to take a leaf out of their book |
