I was starting to get frustrated early in the window but now I'm satisfied with the signing Moyes has made. What we need is at least one big name, and 1 more player that come join and be already on the senior roster. Defour or Mountinho

Agreed that it is great that we are signing young talent.

However, I don't know if any of these players (Jo apart) will kick a ball in the PL this season, and I do think that we need a couple of players who can go straight into the first team and strengthen us. If we manage to get Defour that would be just the ticket.

Very clever in my opinion. Buffing up the youth/reserves with more quality as well as sticking by the regular transfer policy of not spending too much and bringing in good players for the first team. I'd like to see us BUY a really good player though, winger preferably, then I think, because of our seemingly poor financial situation, call it time on the transfers.

But anything Moyes does I would go with, to get us where we are over the past 7 years takes more than just gambles, he gets it right 9/10.

Does anyone expect Naughton (IF HE etc etc) to feature much next season?

Personally I'd rather play Tony Blackburn that Tony Hibbert but what do others think?

I would much rather have Naughton at RB to be honest mate. He has a lot of pace, doesn't stop, can challenge and can throw further than Neville! He is very versatile as well!

Hibbert has had a good time with us, but I think he should be played against the weaker sides, who dont have a lot of pace on the flanks.

Naughton is the ideal signing for me. It shows that Moyes has identified the ares what needed improving and he has acted on it. A new RM and the ball is most sincerely rolling!

What do you guys think if we look at Jonás Gutiérrez from Newcastle. According to his wiki hes a winger and his future unclear. Argentina International, I personally like watching him play. Thoughts?

Reckon we'll get 3 first team signings this year...

We need a winger and a centre back (right back taken care of assuming Naughton comes in) - I'm guessing it'll be one big money signing and a couple of loans or 5m or less guys.

Really, really, really want to see Moyes make a move for Robben, Hleb or van der Vaart - all are more or less available and if we have another 12m or so to apparently throw around on Defour or Moutinho, we'd be more than able to afford any of them instead providing they're not looking for stupid wages, 40k a week's ******* ridiculous enough as it is.

Agreed that we need a winger, preferably a right sided one as we have Pienaar on the opposite flank. Regarding moves for Robben, Hleb or Van der Vaart, well we could never afford their wages, particularly Van der Vaart's and Robben's. Defour is a possibility but Moutinho is a no go.
