David Moyes comments today speaking about being active in the tranfer market.

"I think we are an attractive proposition to players who maybe just can’t quite get into the sides who are currently in the top four.

Is this a statement of intent? Reading between the lines is Moyes intrested in squad players from Utd, Chelsa, Arsenal, Surely he wouldnt sign a Kop cast of.

Im thinking Richardson or S.W.P.

s.w.p would be good, but we dont need RW, we need a LW, or a LB, i hink we shouold sign either ferrari or chivu from roma...both good defenders, both can play LB or CB...

SWP can play on thew left, instead of going to the builine and putting a cross in, he cuts back and crosses. Seen him do it a few times for Chelski this season.

I think we need a good left footed, left sided midfielder to balance the team. I think Gareth Barry would still be a great addition, he is still performing well at Villa but I feel needs a move to kick start his career. He doesnt really seem to be getting anywhere at Villa.

How many headed goals have we scored from crosses this season?

Does that not prove a point then?

Yes, I think it does. I think it proves that it's not the route to goal that it once was. I've mentioned it before but the vast majority of teams now play with widemen that cut inside, often with central midfielders performing a holding role. Look at Man Utd and Ronaldo often cuts infield to shoot, Rooney often starts on the left and does likewise. Arsenal very rarely chip arial balls into the box. Liverpool play Gerrard on the right. Barca play Ronaldinho and Messi on their 'un-natural flanks'.

Obviously it depends how we want to play, and who we want to play. If AJ is the striker then sending crosses in isn't the best play because he's not tall and isn't all that good in the air anyway. We've done ok from set pieces this year when Yobo and Lescott can get forward but the trend seems to be going against traditional wingers getting to the byline and crossing for the centre forward to head in.

Malouda would be great but I don't see him coming to England to join anyone other that one of the big three.

I've always wanted to see SWP come here as he'd certainly give us some more bite in the midfield attack. I don't think there are any Everton supporters that wouldn't want to see him here.

I think SWP is a real possibility if he moves. Lets face it Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Utd. All hate each other so rarely are there any deals between each other, so when players leave its generally going to be to Spurs Newcastle, Villa and us of course.

I don't expect DM to go fishing abroad again this summer, he is more likely to business at home. We stand no chance of signinmg either MGP or SWP so what other more likely names spring to mind

Brunt of Sheff Wed, good passer of the ball, excellent shot possibly a tad slow.

Kightly of Wolves, likely target, young, very quick, tends to be erratic with his distribution, has a promising future and could well be recommended by Joelon

Tomaz Radzinski, he is ****, runs like the wind, in the wrong direction, has no control what so ever, is hated by all blues but is available on a free having been released by Fulham. Oh how I hate and dispise that ****, named for the hell of it:lol:

DM was seen regularly at lower league games all season, Sheff Wed, Wolves and a player at Rotherham but I'm unsure who.

Forget the big names, they will all carry big name premiums with them, another couple of Joelon quality players will do for me.

We need either some height in the box or change the strategy, We had loads and loads of corners but just didn't get anything from them this season. Frustrating.

That is a fair observation although I would say that towards the end of season Lescott, Yobo and Stubbs featured in goals from set pieces. I honestly think we have missed tim Cahills contribution in those situations. He certainly proved that you don't have to be big to be good in the air(y)
